Duty of care to our drivers

Help4Ukraine delivers ambulances and aid to Ukraine. Working with our partner in Ukraine this requires crossing the border into Ukraine. Not every driver wants to cross over and we are fine and allow for that. The FCO advice is very clear and we are ever mindful of that.
Whether you believe the war started in 2022, or the proxy war in the East, or the invasion of Crimea does not change what is happening on the ground today. One thing is for sure however, the invaders are delivering more missiles and drones, operating at far higher speeds – Shaheed 238 has a top speed of 600 km/h. What happened with Starlink Starsheild, was it off or turned down, and who gave the order? – We will never know. As we approach winter the likelihood of more civilian infrastructure targets being hit only increases.
Help4Ukraine was planning to deliver ambulances and aid in November but has put this on pause. The additional strains on world fuel security and conflicts outside Ukraine are having a direct impact on what is happening politically in those countries that should be supporting freedom and democracy in a country being invaded by an imperialist neighbour. We are replanning when to go and will be announcing that as soon as we can. Until then we will continue fundraising and we will plan for our next convoy.
