Fundraising in Mayfair
Our amazing fundraising gala dinner was a mix of informative speeches, fine dining and fantastic displays, all washed down with some fine wines and rounded off with a very successful auction.
First off huge thanks to Ambulance Rescue and London Ambulance Service who provided dramatic entrance, parked right in frnt of the building. Two ambulances bedecked with Ukrainian flags, and displays inside for our guests. Parked not only in front of the main doors but also with blue lights blaring for extra impact. Thank you!
Once inside and cloaks removed, descending the stairs opened up the fantastic Crystal Ballroom and a display of genuine Russian search and munition drones. At over 2 metres wide they made an impressive display and all thanks to Guy Shepherd and the team at Obliterated. The team themselves turning out en masse to support the event.

Speeches from Guy Shepherd, Viktor Shpot, Connor Braithwaite and Andrew Fox. Connor served as a paramedic in Ukraine last year. Speeches between the courses and with a rolling backdrop of films and images from previous delivery missions.
The evening was rounded off by a raffle and auction conducted by the wonderful James Hasler. And then closing remarks by Simon Reevell, one of the Directors of Help4Ukraine. In total the night raised a sum of:
£22,500
This money will be used to deliver ambulances to Ukraine

Our speaker lineup for the evening:
Lieutenant (ret’d) Chaplain Viktor Shpot served in Ukraine. Throughout the first three years of the war he tended the wounded. His stories of ordinary people just trying to get on with their lives and the trauma he felt dealing with the aftermath of explosions, drones and missiles. Today he is returned and living in the UK but has agreed to talk at our event about his experience and why one ambulance can make all the difference
Major (ret’d) Andrew Fox has appeared on NewsMax (USA), News Nation (USA), Sky News (UK and Australia), BBC Newsnight, Channel 12 and i24 (Israel), GB News, TalkTV, LBC radio and Chai FM (South Africa), and has been published in the Spectator, The Sun, The Daily Telegraph, NY Post and the Tablet, amongst others. He has spoken in the British Houses of Parliament, the French Senate, and the United Nations.
In August 2025 Andrew visited the front line in Ukraine. As well as Pokrovsk and Zaporizhzhia he took time to visit hospitals and medical camps. He took with him a 4×4, donated by a private individual and long-standing Ukraine supporter. He will talk about his time in Ukraine and how the need for ambulances has never been greater
Guy Shepherd is a military collector and enthusiast. Since the start of the war in Ukraine he has been studying Russian drone warfare and the impact it is having on ordinary civilians. Hear from Guy on the impact drones are having on towns and villages. He will also talk about the impact to ordinary people of living in the world’s most mined country. How something as simple as farming is now a dangerous job and the lives being lost every day as a result
